CASA volunteers help thousands of neglected or abused children in Texas get out of foster care into happy homes.

52 children a day are removed from their home and enter the foster care system.
1,250 children aged out of the system in 2016 without finding a home.
9,131 CASA volunteers served 27,953 of the 48,795 children in foster care in 2016.

About CASA

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a national volunteer movement founded in 1977. There are more than 1,000 CASA programs nationwide and 71 CASA programs in the state of Texas. At the local level, the CASA programs in Texas do the hands-on work of recruiting, training and supervising volunteers to speak up in court and represent the best interests of children.
